Responsibilities

  • As a Mid-level DevOps Engineer, your responsibilities would typically be to:

    • Work in an agile environment as part of a full design and development team, participating in scrum ceremonies, and interacting with and supporting our customers.
    • Manage infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
    • Automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure components to ensure scalability and reliability.
    • Implement and maintain configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, or Ansible) to manage system configurations and ensure consistency across environments.
    • Set up monitoring tools to track system performance, identify issues, and implement proactive measures.
    • Serve as the subject matter expert for containerization and DevOps and provide relevant advice to team members and customers.
    • Engage with customers in finding the needs of projects and take full ownership of them
    • Design and Implement Cloud & Software technologies based on requirements
    • Focus on customer satisfaction to increase the value we deliver
    • Reviews application requirements and anticipates system needs in order to ensure the availability and scalability of systems
    • Troubleshoots code and assists with the resolution of coding issues
    • Lead team to work on deliverables and overall growth of individual, team, and company
    • Involvement in providing training, webinars, and seminars to individuals, companies, or an event

Skills

    • Involvement in providing training, webinars, and seminars to individuals, companies, or an event
    • Strong knowledge of distributed and enterprise application architectures, both in the cloud and on-premises
    • Practical experience with Cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, and Azure in a production environment (network, security, applications, serverless, and containers)
    • Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs.
    • Excellent knowledge of at least one Infrastructure as Code / Configuration as Code technology (such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt)
    • Outstanding familiarity with build pipelines, including CodeBuild, Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure Pipeline, and Concourse CI.
    • Scale and optimize a variety of SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra) web servers (Nginx, Apache, Tomcat, IIS) application frameworks (Springboot, Django or Flask, Express) caches (Elasticsearch, Redis, Memcached) and distributed messaging systems (SNS, SQS, Kafka)
    • Strong experience with Linux and Windows system administration
    • Proven track record of supporting production systems, and ability to effectively coordinate cloud infrastructure service requests and incident response
    • Experience with project management technologies (Agile, Scrum) and version control systems (SVN, GIT)
    • Demonstrated expertise in the business application, information, and/or technical architecture design
    • Expert understanding of CI tools such as Jenkins, Travis, Azure, DevOps, etc.
    • Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization technologies
    • Attention to detail, abstract thinking, and problem-solving skills
    • Ensuring observability of platforms with tools like Nagios, DataDog, NewRelic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stacks, etc.
    • Implementing security tools like WAF, Firewall Managers, etc.

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
    • 3+ years of relevant experience in an IT environment
